For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Consortium LLC include www.consortiumasc.com, our retail operations, and our integrated third-party auction platforms (including LiveAuctioneers).

The Consortium LLC website and associated digital channels function as e-commerce, auction, and estate service platforms. By using the Consortium LLC website and services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

In order to better provide you with products, auction services, and consignment management offered on our Site, Consortium LLC may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • Mailing and Physical Shipping Address

  • Phone Number / SMS Preferences

If you purchase Consortium LLC's products, participate in live or online auctions, or engage our consignment services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete payment transactions, verify bidder identity, and fulfill orders.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services on the Site or through our auction portals. These may include:

  2. Submitting an estate liquidation or consignment consultation request;

  4. Submitting your credit card or other payment details when purchasing products or settling auction invoices.

 

To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

Consortium LLC may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of upcoming auctions, featured estate collections, store promotions, or other products and services available from Consortium LLC and its affiliates.

Consortium LLC may share data with trusted partners and third-party service providers (such as LiveAuctioneers, Shopify, email marketing platforms, credit card processors, and delivery/shipping vendors) to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, verify bidding accounts, or arrange for order fulfillment and shipping. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Consortium LLC, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

  1. Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or consignment contract, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you;

  2. Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;

  3. Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;

  4. Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act or other state/federal legal record-keeping obligations (including tax and auction licensing compliance);

  5. Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us; or

  6. Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

 

Children Under Thirteen

Consortium LLC does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website and our services.

From time to time, Consortium LLC may contact you via email or text message for the purpose of providing announcements, auction catalog alerts, promotional offers, invoice confirmations, and general customer service communications. In order to improve our Services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from Consortium LLC or click on a link therein.

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from Consortium LLC, you may opt out at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of our emails or contacting us directly.

We store your data on secure servers provided by third-party cloud hosting vendors and e-commerce platforms with whom we have contracted.
